About:
Natalie Bickmore graduated with a BS in applied physics with an emphasis in acoustics and a minor in astronomy. She joined the Underwater Acoustics group with Dr. Neilsen in January of 2023.
Natalie grew up in northern California and loves spending time outdoors with her friends and family. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, traveling, and getting lost in a good book. She has an obsession with both fresh smoothies and baby goats.
Research:
In her research, Natalie has worked on minimizing harmonics using signal processing techniques with the laboratory power amplifier. Her undergraduate thesis work consisted of applying transfer learning to source localization with temperature variation in a laboratory tank.
